For me it will always be my home, although I studying in Australia now. However, I try to gain more experiences and knowleges to build my future goal, because our life is a long journey. Therefore, I might working in other country like America or UK, but I really want to go back to my home town one day. This map also shows my personality of optimistic, i used a music game program as the background to show that I like to try to agianst hard things in my life, and i like to spend time to expriences different things. I used sandglass to show my opinion of time that we have to cherish time, because time is fast, if its gone, it would not back again.

  2. Reflecting on my learning journey throughout this KKD 101 subject, in week four we did a “self-map” assessment. I did a self-map about the country I’ve come from and time factor. It consists of a picture of my country’s map which is Malaysia, the picture of a woman on top of a hand with the time on her dress which indicates that time is valuable and it is not something that we can buy unlike her expensive dress. From this assessment, I’ve learnt that I should practice more on my “photo shopping” skill as I have been getting feedback from my peers to improve my self-map for numerous times.

  3. In this self map, I chose the cover page of as the concept map, as that is my favorite novel which also can represent my dream job—novelist. Furthermore, the main character of this book have similar personality to mine (introverted). Then, I chose a building in QUT as the place map, since I studying in QUT. A watch as time map, the reason why I use a watch is that I start to collect watch recently. I have a lot of classmates who are studying in different countries—New Zeal-and, USA, UK. And my families are in China. So that, I set those watch in different time zone, which can remind me my friend and my families. Finally, a black plastic glasses as self symbol. Clearly, the reason is I wearing this kind of glasses.

  4. In week four we did a “self-map” assessment. That was exactly a time that I was so confused about what should I do in the future. I was struggling and hesitating. But I have to be brave enough to face all the difficulties. I put all the food that I cooked in this self-map and it became a menu. This reflected I want to run a restaurant. But now, 10weeks past, I changed my way to get this goal. First step, running an entertainment bar and then expand it to have a dining place. On the left bottom is me standing on the beach. I like this freedom and seems I was peacefully looking all things happened in my life. Dreams are always beautiful and it is wonderful to have the chances to dream about the bright future. No matter what have changed, living in the moment is always my motto. Thanks this simple assessment teach me a lots about what I really want.

  5. My self-map represents what and where I am right now. Firstly, the background demonstrates a galaxy with many stars. The reason I choose that is because there is a myth which states that the light from the stars are the light from the millions years ago and we can only see it up until now. It means that even if we are in the present, our pasts are still happening and what I am trying to express here is that every day I keep reflecting upon my wrong doings and trying to correct those. The symbol on the left hand side is Taurus which is my star sign and I think it best represents me because I think most of the aspects listed in Taurus are actually my personality. The symbol in the middle is infinity which means what goes around always comes back around so every time I do something I need to think twice before the action. Lastly, I think love is also unconditional, unlimited and equal.

  6. In this self-map i chose skull as my main theme, also there is a map of Hong Kong. the reason i chose skull is because people in Hong Kong says Hong Kong is dying. Skull is a sign of Death, so this is why i combined those two together. and the time table i chose is special because there is no Sunday in the schedule, people keep working living day by day from Monday to Saturday to find their style, their purpose of live, it is important for people to know what they are doing and for what? so a schedule is very important. Finally the background i chose a letter that is same as i learnt from class. However, a letter is simple, it does not make the whole result of the self-map complicate, LESS IS MORE, this is the reason i chose a letter.
and all those images are come from Google. As i typed in “Map HongKong”, “Skull”, “Timetable” and “Letter” and i just saved all of those i like.

The background is starred night, which stands for hope and love. My concept map is the process of bulb lightening, which represents the process of achieving the goal. Although I will go through the dark times, I will not give up, until my dream bulb will get lightened.

    • This is my self-map. My major is advertising. So I wanted to express the advertising as self-map. I wanted to give people a chance to see it, even thought it through, but to express me. First I expressed my situation now through the Korea map and Australia map. The map is geography elements. Then, I covered the flag on each map. And I connected the clock line which indicates the time in the map. I put the logos which indicates the past and present in the left and right of clock line. If this technology have not developed, I could not connect with a family in Korea conveniently. I wanted to inform the convenience development of technology to people by expressed advertising. The concept of the map is the development of the technology according to the time.
